Owen's Special Trip

Back in the Fall, we won a free stay in a hotel for the TOMA convention in Gatlinburg at the end of April.  We decided to just take Owen and make this a "special trip" for him while Norma stayed at our house and watched Grace Ann.  Justin had a meeting all day on Friday, so me and Owen just spent the day going to an indoor zoo, eating FREE chick-fil-A, and swimming in the pool at the hotel! When Justin finished with his meetings on Friday, we went out to eat with the Cozart's and then went back to the pool to swim some more! We got up early on Saturday morning and ate breakfast at a pancake log cabin, then went to the aquarium! Owen had a blast on his "special trip"!!

We went to the pool 3 different times while we were there! He loves the water!

SHARKS!! Owen was so excited to see the sharks at the aquarium!

LOVE this boy!!

Owen enjoyed lots of daddy time on our trip!

Grace Ann is ONE!

My little cupcake is ONE!! I can't believe how quickly this year has gone!  I made Grace Ann some pancakes on her birthday and put a candle in them! She LOVES pancakes just like me and Owen!

This is a picture of Owen with his pancakes on his first birthday...almost TWO years ago! :)

We had fun celebrating her actual birthday with just our little family, but we were so excited for the rest of our family to come visit the next day!

Dancing with daddy before bed!

I found so many cute ideas on Pintrest for a cupcake birthday party! Here is the invitation we made:

Birthday wreath using cupcake liners! SO EASY!!

Birthday banner that I made using my embroidery machine!! I was really happy with the way it turned out! :)

Flowers that Norma picked from our backyard! So pretty!

Cupcake stand from Hobby Lobby that I decorated with ribbon and bows!

Centerpiece using cupcake liners and ribbon!

Bib that I made Grace Ann!

I found this really neat pin the candle on the cupcake game on Pintrest that I made! I thought it turned out really cute even though the kids were not that interested! Ha! I'm still glad I made it and hope to use it her birthday parties for years to come!

I made this top for Grace Ann! The fabric is some of the fabric my mom used in her I-spy quilt!

Showing us that she can crawl on top of the picnic table that Norma got her!

Justin made some amazing BBQ for her birthday! Here he is "rubbing it like you love it" (quote from Dr. Wieting) getting it ready to put on the smoker! He got the recipe from one of the PM&R doctors at his school. Never know when those anatomy gloves will come in handy! Ha!

The two little lovebirds enjoying a picnic...in the laundry room! :)

Showing off her sunglasses! She looks so grown up in the picture!!

Happy FIRST Birthday Sweet Girl!! :)

Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend! I met my mom at the outlets in Sevierville on Saturday to shop while Justin stayed at home at played with the kids! It was so much fun to shop with my mom without the kids (and much faster!)!  After spending the day shopping, my mom followed me back to our house to spend Easter with us!

Owen was very interested in coloring the eggs this year!

Concentrating so hard on gently putting the egg in the cup!

The Easter bunny came! These are the Easter baskets that Justin and I used growing up! :)

Family picture after church!

Hiding the eggs for the 8th time for Owen!

My pretty little princess! :)  It's hard to believe looking at this picture that she got kicked out the nursery before the service even started just and hour earlier...

Look no hands!!

Pictures

I asked Brittany (her husband is in med school with Justin) to take some pictures of the kids yesterday.  She takes amazing pictures and you can check out her website here. Grace Ann screamed the ENTIRE.TIME.  It was really embarrassing!  She was fine when I was holding her but every time I put her down she screamed. That's the story of my life with my little princess.  :) Somehow, Brittany was still able to snap a few pictures of Grace Ann between screams and tears.

Michelle made this pretty bow that Grace Ann is wearing and I love it!! This is her "fancy" bow!! :)

See the panic on her face...haha!!

My little man on the other hand really enjoyed having his pictures taken and worked the camera like a pro! :)

This is my favorite picture of him!  He looks so grown up!! :)

Kitchen Entertainment

Grace Ann has discovered the dishwasher and all of its glory the past few weeks.  She LOVES to take out her spoons and make sure they are "extra" clean before I put them away.

Yesterday she was trying to climb inside the dishwasher.  I love her expression in this picture! :)

Tin Foil River

I found a really neat idea to make a "river" using tin foil on Pintrest so I decided to try it out last week! Owen loved playing in his "river" for two days! We put all kinds of toys in our "river" to see which ones would float best.

Grace Ann enjoyed the "river" also! :)

 Love this sweet girl!!

We went for a walk and Owen found a huge stick to carry!
