Zoo Picture

We went with the Cozarts to the zoo this past Saturday and soaked up some of the warm sunshine! Owen and Natalie sat still long enough for me to snap some pictures of them and oh. my. gosh!!!! They are so stinkin cute and have changed so much since their first trip to the zoo together in the summer of 2011! We went to the Knoxville zoo with the Cozarts just a few days after we both made the move to Harrogate for our husbands to begin medical school. We both bought memberships to the Knoxville zoo so we had many play dates there while the guys studied! Now that we are both in Anniston and members of the Birmingham zoo, we have had some fun play dates there too!

Little did we know these two little stinkers would become such great friends! Natalie and her family are moving back to Tennessee for Chads fourth year of school so Natalie can attend Kindergarten!! I can't believe they will not be just minutes away from us for the last AND FINAL year of medical school!!

Playdates

We have enjoyed this warmer weather this week with some sweet friends! On Monday, we met our friends at the park and let the kids run around and play for over two hours! Then on Wednesday, we headed over to Michelle's house for lunch and some outside play time after we picked Owen up from school.

 Walker enjoyed "sliding" for the first time and Grace Ann loved "catching" him!

Man Day

 

I went to Huntsville this past Saturday to help throw my friend a baby shower. I decided to take Grace Ann with me and drop Walker off at my Nana's house. That left Owen and Justin at home, so they decided to have their very first "Man Day". They had so much fun!! I can't decide who had more fun: Justin or Owen!! They started off their Man Day at Lamar's Donuts for breakfast and then headed to Birmingham to an airplane museum! Owen had an absolute blast at the museum getting to look at all the airplanes! After the museum, they headed to the mall for lunch at Chic-fil-A and then a quick stop at the Lego store!

 Justin had just told him that they were going to the Lego store, so he was making a dash to the Jeep!

 Justin was a sucker at bought Owen a police Lego set! Ha! Owen has really started to become interested in Lego's!

 Justin said he looked at his new Lego set like this the entire drive home! Look at his little eyes just looking so intently at the box!

Justin had so much fun telling me all about their Man Day when we got home! It is such a special time when we get to spend one on one time with the kids!

Home Depot Workshop

This past Saturday morning we went to Home Depot for their free kids workshop. The kids each built a wooden race car! They both hammered, glued, and painted their race car! After all of their hard, they had popcorn and juice boxes for the kids to enjoy! They had a blast!

Big Girl Bed

Several months ago, Grace Ann woke up from nap wanting us to make her crib into a big girl bed. She has never climbed out of her crib but Justin and I both agreed that she was probably ready to have a big girl bed. So...we transitioned her crib into a toddler bed and the rest his history! She has done great about staying in her bed at nap and at night. Just occasionally have we heard little foot steps upstairs wondering around when she is supposed to be asleep! Last week, we got her "big girl covers" in the mail that we ordered. They are so cute and she is so proud of them!
