Sewing Table

We took on a family project a couple of weeks ago and decided to rearrange the furniture in our living room so that I could have a place to sew! I was having to lug down my sewing machine to the computer, and then lug it all the way back upstairs once I was finished. The computer table was also being used as my sewing table. So, we just moved the big chair over to the other side of the living room to make some room for my new sewing table that Justin built! I absolutely love having a place to sew! He attached the tables to the wall and only put two legs on each table which will make it easier to move to our new house in about another year!
My etsy business is doing really well and I'm excited to have a space where I can work and keep track of my current orders! My etsy store is https://www.etsy.com/shop/NaptimeCreativity?ref=si_shop if you want to check it out!

Don't you just LOVE our wood paneling in our living room?? NOT!

I found this ribbon storage idea on Pintrest and I thought it was the neatest idea! Now all of my smaller ribbon is stored neatly in this glass container!

The three rules for going on a date and a tea party

Justin and I decided that we really need to work on spending one-on-one time with each child. So, we decided we should go on "dates" with the big kids! First up was a Mommy and Owen date to Chick-fil-A! Justin got home early from the hospital one day a few weeks ago, so Owen decided to take me on a date! He and Justin went and got flowers while I got ready (nursed Walker). While they were picking out flowers, Justin and Owen had a talk about what he should do on a date.

Rule #1:
Comb your hair
 Rule #2:
Bring her flowers
 Rule #3:
Be a gentleman

Owen was so excited about our date and acted like a gentleman the entire time! I think we both really enjoyed our special time together. It's really neat to see how differently the kids act when they are not having to fight for our attention.

The following day our library had a Fancy Nancy tea party for little girls! Nonna came over and watched to boys, while I took Grace Ann to her first tea party! She got all dressed up and looked so cute!
Heading out to the tea party!
The librarian read the girls a Fancy Nancy book, sang songs, discussed manners, and let them have some "real" tea! She thought she was so big drinking her tea!!
