Pruitt Playschool (Letter C)

We have been learning about the letter "C" the past few weeks. Owen has had a lot of fun learning about the letter "C" even though we have been really busy with traveling, celebrating Grace Ann's birthday, and going on a special trip! There were so many fun things to do with this letter!

Our Bible verse the past few weeks:
I can do everything through Him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13

We started off by coloring some cupcakes on the letter "C'. Owen does NOT like to color at all!!  I'm not sure why he is so against it, but hopefully he will like it a little better when he is older.

Owen colored a cupcake and then we glued candles on top of it! LOVE how he is concentrating so hard in this picture!

We read "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" by Eric Carle...

...and then made our own caterpillar out of construction paper!

We took our cars through a car wash (Owen's latest obsession!). This was by far his favorite activity over the past few weeks!! We used some of Justin's shaving cream to clean our cars and I made a "wiper thing" but cutting up an old rag and tying pieces of it to the end of a spoon!  It worked great! :)

Homemade car stamps using bottle tops and foam stickers!

I have been saving small containers with tops over the past few months for this activity. He had to match the top with the correct container and then had to screw on the top! This activity was a lot of fun and I'm still collecting different size bottles.

We made the letter "C" by gluing Cheerios on some paper.  He did great with this activity and glued the cheerios all by himself!

I had some leftover cupcake stickers from Grace Ann's birthday invitations so we sorted them by color!

We made a crab using our hands! I don't really like to use "real" paint that often, so Owen really enjoyed this craft!

I dumped some Cheerios into a big bowl and hid some letter "C's" in there for him to find with his "grabber". Once he found them, he stuck them on some construction paper.

We practiced cutting on the white line of some paint chips! He is doing so well with his cutting! I think I need to buy this boy some left-handed scissors! :)

Dot Paint!! We read a Cookie Monster book and then painted Cookie Monster using blue dot paint.

Our bulletin board will some of our crafts we made for the letter "C"!
